As part of their Science topic, Year 3 have been researching the growth of plants. They have observed and described the stages of the life cycle of a flowering plant. Children have learnt key words relating to the different parts of a flower and also explained their role in pollination and fertilisation.
A number of activities took place that included, growing plants from seed (inside and outside the classroom). The children really enjoyed gardening; preparing the soil and planting the seeds themselves.
