On Monday, Year 5 went to Greenwich, the ‘home of time’, in South East London. During the planetarium show, we saw amazing visualisations and photographs of our solar system, and later asked a real-life astronomer our questions about space.
We also stood on the Prime Meridian (0 degrees longitude) with one foot in the Western hemisphere and one in the East. Did you know that the world time is measured from Greenwich? There are many places in London that are significant to developments in Science and Geography – how lucky we are to live here!
